Thunder Road is coming, can you hear the thunder? This feature film project is in development with pre-production hoving into view. Thunder Road is the diligently nurtured baby of Astoria Entertainment, comprising Matt Dallas, Steven Grayhm (who also wrote the script), Charlie Bewley, and assistant, Jupiter Baudot. Matt, Steven and Charlie are producing alongside Penni Thow.  With more meetings and the shooting of promotional material under way this week, things are moving along nicely! We will, of course be keeping you updated on the project's progress, but advise you to also 'like' the official Facebook page to ensure you don't miss anything!

If you're not already in the know, Thunder Road will tell the story of "the physical and mental hardships and personal triumphs of three soldiers as they attempt to assimilate back into civilian life after returning home from active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan". [IMDb]

Matt Dallas signs up for new indie sci-fi "Paradox"

Matt Dallas has just signed on to a new indie sci-fi adventure called Paradox, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Elana A. Mugdan. It will be produced by Paradox Film and Shivnath Productions, headed by Dave Brown and Ms Mugdan. With finance already in place, shooting will commence later in the year, with the aim of completing the film for release at the end of January 2014.

How can you change your future if you can't change your past?

The storyline is as follows:
Paradox is a 97-minute sci-fi/drama about time travel, and the intrinsic questions of choice and free will that go along with that. Plagued by her poor life choices, Sophie Walters [Ashley Johnson], a young, aspiring scientist, decides to turn to time travel as a means of changing the dismal future she foresees for herself. Aided by her childhood friend, Caleb [Matt Dallas], and somewhat abetted by Jae, a 150-year-old time traveler from the year 2074, she embarks on a complex -- and dangerous -- journey to alter her fate, and in fact, the fate of the entire universe.
According to the information available, this time travel movie will be unlike any other in that its main plot device is the notion of the paradoxes inherent in time travel itself. It relies heavily on the theory that time is linear and that everything in our future has actually already happened... The director, Elana Mugdan, explains this in more detail in the video (below).

We will have more information regarding this film as the project unfolds, but for now you might like to check out the following useful links:

In Cannes Everyone Can Hear You Scream...

Great news for those of you who have been patiently awaiting updates from the Ghosties at Media World Films since The Ghost of Goodnight Lane wrapped back in 2011!

Alin Bijan’s indie horror-comedy — in which Matt Dallas stars as Ben — will be represented at the upcoming Cannes International Film Festival film market by Fabrication Films in the hope of securing a worldwide distribution deal. The film also stars Billy Zane, Danielle Harris, Lacey Chabert and Christine Bently (Quinn) to name but a few… The movie was inspired by real-life paranormal happenings in the haunted studio in which it was actually filmed.
